Plastic Pollution Project

A day on a typical Cornish Beach. It had been cleaned the week before yet was strewn with our waste, mostly plastic. The beach content was identified and catalogued, then photographed in sections and a 50,000 pixel wide panorama created. Figures were created in Lightwave 3D and walk/run sequences were made, only the shadows rendered. These were composited along with footprints, splashes and ripples. Then postit notes added along with more 3D originated sequences to begin to tell a story of plastic. The compositing was done in Adobe After Effects CC. Although a self-funded project the finished work was taken up by organizations around the world and in particular by @BeatTheMocrobead in Holland who used it for their home-page video for over a year. There is a lot more to tell...
